Statement on Ukraine

As a Historical Commission promoting peaceful understanding through scientific collaboration, research, and scholarly exchange, we stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people in Russia’s war against Ukraine. Together with scholarly communities around the world, we express the greatest concern for Ukraine and protest the aggression by the Russian Government. We also note the open letter by Russian scientists and science journalists opposing the war with Ukraine and also express concern for their safety, along for all those courageously expressing such opposition in Russia.
